Bio I, Aion (Denny Sargent), writer, teacher and practicing Ecclectic Ritualist, have since my early teens been accepted as a member of a number of initiatory groups including Pagan Way (and various other Pagan groups), Welsh Traditional Wicca, The GSS, the Typhonian OTO, QBLH, Order of Chaos, Cult of Tara and the Nath Lineage of Tantrika (as Hermeticusnath). I am one of the founding members of the Horus/Maat Lodge and a ceramic artist as well for many years.
I have a BA inEducation and MA in Cross Cultural Studies (History/Anthro). My research has included the magickal/religious traditions of Egypt, Sumeria, Greece, Rome, China, India, Europe and Pacific Northwest Indians (Kwakiutl). In the early 1980's he helped found, write and edit Aeon and Kalika, journals that were concerned with contemporary ritual practice and creative mythology. From 1980 until today, Tantrika and Taoism have formed increasingly important foci for my studies and writing, as has Buddhism.
I have written for many different Pagan and magickal magazines.
I taught and lived and wrote for four years in Japan from 1989-93, am married, have an autistic child and live in northwest of the USA.
My books include:
-Global Ritualism, Myth & Magick Around the World, (Llewellyn Worldwide, 1994, 300+ Pics)
-The Tao of Birth Days, Tuttle Press, was published in 2000.
-(co-written with Sophia) The Magical Garden, A& M, 2000
- Your Guardian Angel & You, was published by Red Wheel/Weiser 2004
& my new book is CLEAN SWEEP (on banishing), also published by Weisers
My main passion and Magickal focus is the Nameless Current and the Great God Pan I welcomes all information concerning these things!
