Coldplay
Due to the extreme kindness and driving skill of some good friends, we ended up going to the COLDPLAY concert at the Gorge Amphitheater yesterday- me limping along ...95 degrees, slow cooked, it is the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my life to see a concert

OK, Im sure there are plenty of snide comments about Coldplay in the air- but fuck it- I enjoy them and they did a fine job- but there was something else

I found myself crying during the concert- my heart just opening & breaking- somehow the concert shakti opened up all the pain I feel over Forrest's autism - how very unfair and horrifying it is- how much we have all lost- It was shocking to me and very exhausting-

I also rode the energy of 24000 souls (!), all enthralled (yahoos and all) and realized- this is as close to a mass religious trans substantiation as we get in our culture- everyone here is being offered Gnosis of a sort- real, human touch- nothing dogmatic about it- no gods, no rituals, jut a sharing- Im not very impressed with my species...but there are times....
